Creative Artifacts
How a Creative Artifact is Graded
Remember that your creative artifact will be graded as part of your assignment. The scale below will help you understand my expectations.
**Some creative products such as a dance or comic may not allow a student to use the number of terms listed below. In this case, the summary will be used to help determine the student’s score for the creative project content as well as the summary score itself.
1 - does not demonstrate understanding of concepts/topic: topic is not relevant to what has been covered in class OR student selects content from an unaccepted quarter.
65 - 75: basic understanding shown: some terms and concepts from class used, 2 or 3 - but it is not clear that the student understands what the terms mean because of lots of errors or unclear descriptions that show the student is not comfortable with the meaning of the words they used
75 - 80: demonstrates understanding of some 7th grade concepts: some terms and concepts from class used, 2 or 3 - the terms and concepts are used and explained clearly and correctly - shows that students do understand the basic idea they are trying to explain
80 - 95: demonstrates understanding of many 7th grade concepts: 4 to 5 terms and concepts from class used, the terms and concepts are used and explained clearly and correctly - shows that students do understand the basic idea they are trying to explain
95-100: demonstrates mastery of 7th grade concepts: 6+ terms and concepts from class used, the terms and concepts are used and explained clearly and correctly - shows that students do understand the basic idea they are trying to explain
