The Water Cycle...takes the water and moves it up and down...
Complete Your Water Cycle Notes! |
Use the following videos to complete your Water Cycle Notes. These notes should be glued directly into your notebook (or holes should be punched in them and they should be put into your binders).

Yes, these videos are complete with 1 or 2 misspelled words and places where I stumble over a word! I wanted to make sure you had an authentic experience! (I need to get video editing software again).
Part I: The Water Cycle
Part II: All the Water on Earth
Key Terms and Concepts
Key Terms:
Important Ideas
- Condensation
- Evaporation
- Transpiration
- Run-off
- Percolation
- Precipitation
Important Ideas
- The sun provides the energy that powers the water cycle
- Most water on Earth (75%) is salt water
- Most water that evaporates comes from the oceans
- Most fresh water is frozen at the poles/ice caps
- Water changes states, but the amount of water is constant
- Changes of state = change of thermal energy and temperature
- Cold = less energy, lower temperature, denser
- Warm = more energy, higher temperature, less dense
- Substances in water do NOT evaporate with the water (salt is let behind when salt water evaporates)
